Eunji Lee
Eunji Lee is a composer, pianist, and multimedia artist from South Korea. Her works are distinguished by their delicate textures, intricate layering, and vibrant energy. Drawing inspiration from nature and Korean cultural heritage, she seamlessly integrates these elements with contemporary languages. Her creative practice spans acoustic music, electronic compositions, lighting, and multimedia, reflecting her continuous exploration of new artistic territories.
Her music has been featured at many festivals, including performances by Loadbang, Ensemble Black, Ensemble Clink, and Prism Quartet, and presented at the Mise-en Festival, She Score, Combined Music Series, and Mox Sonic Festival. As the founder of Ensemble Clink, she actively curates innovative performances that challenge traditional boundaries. Also, as a member of Ensemble Black, she and other members direct the annual Color Series, which this year premieres works by five composers, including her own piece "그네뛰기" (Swing Play) - a multimedia composition incorporating gayageum, Korean percussion, lighting, and multimedia.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Ewha Womans University and a Master's degree in Composition from Indiana University, where she studied under P.Q. Phan, Aaron Travers, John Gibson, and Chi Wang.
